Ltd. reports a medium yarding of dairy heifers at Whakatane on Friday. There was a good attendance and any cattle showing condition and calving early attracted spirited competition. Best early calvers made £8 15s to £10. others from £7 to £8 10s, later calvers from £5 10s to £6 10>. There was a heavy yarding of good quality beef cattle which sold under very keen competition. Heavy prime Short horn and Holstein cows from £8 to £9 6s. Barren heifers from £6 to £G 10s, heavy fat cows £6 10s to £7 15s, medium Jersey cows £5 to £6 ss, boner cows £1 5s .to £2 15s.
