HAMILTON SALE The Farmers' Co-ppcrative Auctioneering Co. Ltd. report:— Sheep: At the Frankton sale on Tuesday a heavy yarding of fat sheep including a large proportion of unfinished mutton. Competition, for pi'ime quality was steady, but values for light and unfinished were easier'. An average entry of fat lamias sold at late rates. Cattle: A full entry of both ox and cow beef including a fair proportion of fin ""shed quality. Competition for ox beef was keen, Avith values showing a further improvement qn last, week. A pen of prime 20 months Polled Angus, steers from Mr Giles Lusty, Te'Uku, sold from £8 14s to £9 10s, and averaged £9. Cow and heifer beef met with a readj r | sale with values in this section also showing an improvement. A consignment of two trucks of-cows and heifers from, Mr J. C. Fleming; Whakatane, sold up. to £9 ss, .and averaged £7 15s. A consignment of prime bullocks from Mr J. Moore, Whatawhata, sold from £12 17s 6d to £14 10s. An average offering of runners and vealers sold at firm rates, and a small yarding of boner cows met steady competition •-a total clearance resulting. Pigs: A small yarding o'f fats, and owing to buttermilk buyers' competition an improvement in the market for all classes is recorded. \ full entry of store pigs and breeding sows sold under keen competition, with prices fully up to recent sales.
