FAREWELL EVENING
F.N JOY ABLE ANGLICAN SOCIAL MRS M. J. FOGARTY HONOUREI) A very pleasant evening arranged by the inemljj's of St Georges Ang. liean Choir, assisted by the Senior Bible was held at The V!c.i~_ age to say farewell to Mrs M. J. Fogarty who is leaving the di;trict. 'A programme consist L'/>g of t.o::imunity sings, pianoforte selections bv Rev S. G. Caulton competitions etc. was much enjoyed. The accompanist was Dr Dawson, who greatly eontii. Luted to the success of the even'ng. Before supper the Vicar presented Mrs Fogarty with a leather writing case, on behalf of the Choir and Bible Clas,s and expressed appreciation of her services as a member of j the Choir, for about 18 years and her great interest in the Senior Bible Class. The evening concluded by singing Auld Lang Syne and the best of all good wishes speeded the parting guest. The, competition was won by Miss Morgan and the Lucky Seat Mrs Good all. The guests included: Mesdames Rangi, A. Bridger, Rogers, Goodall, IT. Stewart, Brunton, Mrs Caulton. blisses Morgan, Wilson, Zinsley, M. . Righton. Dr Dawson, Mr Caul lon. — TIP FROM A VISITOR j Said a vis'tor passing through, to i a pressman the other day. ''I can t i understand you Whnkatanc peopY | not boosting your town more. It is | certainly out of the way but for j those who do take the trouble to make the trip, there is a pleasant surprise j in store, in the shape of an up-to-date town with attractive shopping! facilities."
