THIRD GRADE RUGBY o MATCH LAST SATURDAY The third grade game Old Boys s , Scouts at Whakatane last Saturdav resulted in a win for the latter team by 3 to nil. Though both sides were playing men short a very good and hard game resulted both sides showing fair form. L. Stewart scored the only try of the game. Though the Scouts are a new team in the third grade they have some very promising young players. The weakness in the Old Boys seemed to be too much fumbling with the ball f but with a little more open ploy and team work it should improve. The Scouts missed several good op. portunities by not being quick enough in passing out. With more practice both teams should show much improvement and though Saturday's match was well played thoiv t« ,st ; ll room tc do better.
