INTRUDERS IN STORE
GOODS STOLEN IN CHILDREN SUSPECTED During the wecli-end some thought to be children, broke into tile store room at the back of Mr r S. Armstrong's stationery and fancy* goods shop in The Stranu. Entrance was gained by breaking the corner 01 a leadlight in the door and turning the handle of the snap lock, after an attempt to prize the lock out front the outside of the door. I It is impossible to say how much was stolen from the store as there is a good deal of stock in it, but Mr Armstrong thinks that about J-2 worth of goods were taken. Articles were pulled down, off the shelves and j left in some confusion. The intruders will not return wa,y a,s bolts have now been fitted t>> the door. It is understood that an attempt was also made on the premises of Mr H.. Dewar, whose shop is next door. It was not known whether anything j is missing as Mr Dewar was absent' in Auckland until to-day.
