o The monthly meeting of the Awa_ keri branch of the W.D.F.U. "vas held recently in the Awakeri Hall Mrs Luxton presiding. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect for Mrs A. Martin in her recent bereavement. A grant of £2 was made toward:* the fund for the W.D. Rest Home at Palmerston North. On the motion a social hostess be appointed, Mrs Dodunski being elected. Also final arrangements for the stall to be held at the Winter Show were arranged. Competitions were won by: Flower, (Continued at foot of nex'c column,)
