o WHAKATA \E BEATS TE PUKE The old rivals., To Puke and Whnkatane met in a zone match in the Bay of Plenty B grade Badminton championship. Play was very la-en and many 4ood matches resulted. The Te Puke men proved too strong for Whakatane, but the Whakatane ladies plaved very well and won all their matches. In the combined games the honours were even. The last game played was the deeid'ng one. It proved very exciting. The score was six sets each but on a count of the scores, Whakatane ran out the winners.
