£9 220,741 PAID OUT j Receipts from New Zealand wool sales during the season just concluded totalled £9.220,741, an increase of £426,8G8 over the ligure for the previous season. The rise was accounted for by an increase of 92, 167 bales in the total amount sold during the season. Average prices were £13 0s ltd a as against £14 (is 2d in the previous season. Total receipts in 19. riu--37 were £14,903,257, so that the return this season represents a drop oi< that year of £5,682,510. The season was remarkable for the relative steadiness of prices throughout and for the excellent clearance effected at all centres. The season opened with a fair quantity of wocl still in stock but littje is now left to be dealt Avith.
