Mrs Fletcher* Cole of Whakatatv? th-jn gave a ■delightful talk on Tonga with interesting sidelights on the manners and ■customs of the Tongiui people, the .scenery and climate, ami life of the small European community on tlie islands. Her tnlk was followed with keen interest and vote of tiianii.s was accorded the speaker. Mrs Ferguson gave n tion of eggshell pictures and showed' a vexy beautiful specimen of her own ■work. Afternoon ten was served by Mrs W. B'. Gow M'ss D. Thompson, hostesses for the afternoon.
