ONEPU SCOUT TROOP LAKE ROTOITI CA?.'P A very successful camp was hAA recently, when members of the Oiu-nu troop visited Lake Rotoiti, ten scout , .' ;|W now having qualified for the Ccnten. y?ial Jamboree to be held at Wellington next year. With the ; weather fine, tent, were pitched in record timc ; and all settled down to camp life. Many and vaiicci were the items on. the menu, each scout taking his share of cooking, and naturally enough sampling it also. tFull me was made of the lake, everyone enjoying the daily dip.. Dur 11V4 the Scoutmaster, T. J. yW;»tson, paid a visit to the camo, by the chairman of the cJßmittce, who with his good lady,' kindly brought along a few delect...ables which were very much appreciated. An alLday outing was spent •on Monday in visiting the soda springs, and sawmill at Lake Rotofihu. -V During the evenings, the "camp lire" was lit. Supper, and .shadow plaj-s were thoroughly enjoy, -ed by all. Camp life ended on Tuesday last, when all returned home, feeling that life under canvas is all that one could * desire. ■ ,i_ The assistant scoutmaster, R. A Briggs was in charge. If' ' '
