GOOD CLEARING SALE Daily cows were in demand and grade Jerseys realised over £10 when Wright, Stephenson and Co held a clearing sale at Awakeri on Thursday lasit on account of Mr K. W. Greenaway. A full attendance of -buyers'made competition keen throughout, especially for the top cows of the herd two of which realised £10 5; each. The herd was in very good condition and taken all through it averaged just under £7. Best quality early calving Jersey cows made £10 to £10 5s others £8 •5 H>s to £9 15s, more backward £4 to £7 15s, springing Jersey .heifers 3:6 10s, empty cows £2 to £4. Devon sows sold from £4 17s to £6 10s.
