LOCAL TRAWLER DOES WEIL
Sea fishing off Whakatane is rather difficult nit present, but local fishermen smiled when they heard the alibi of the Auckland men that the fish were o!i the bottom. A lot depends on local knowledge which probably can only be gained by fishing intensively fc in the one area. Wright's Outlaw brought about a ton and a quarter 01 fish in yesterday morning, but "the two big Auckland trawlers had only .about 20 or 30 baskets although they nmst have been able to get two or three shots in before the local men got to work. The excursionists who tried their hand at line fishing I'rom the Har. bour Board launch on Sunday h.n.i good luck.
