O TANEATUA BEATS P. AND T. An Allan Cup match played last week-end at Whakatane between Taneatua and Post and Telegraph re. suited in a win for Taneatua by ten runs on the first innings, Taneatua scoring 54 and 8(5 for two wickets against 44 and 113. Best batsmen for Taneatua were Lambert and Menzies who scored 21 and 34. For Post and Telegraph Crapp scored 34 and Richardson 1?. in the second innings and Crapp got 26 in the first strike. Cherry with six wickets for 49 runs was Taneatua's best bowler and for the Post and Telegraph team Keepa took seven for 21. Individual scores: Post and Telegraph first innings.
