Following re. mits from .several clubs expressing the desire to have more active cln.b representation' on the D'striet Coun. Hi, it was decided to forward a remit to !>e submitted to the X.Z. Na, iionai Pig Coi'meil, for approval. According to tile m'es of the Dis. ti:ct Council three members retire by ballot annually but are eligible for re-election. Messrs R. Strugnell (Tauranga), J. Jamieson (Rangi. taiki) and 11. D. Chrisp (Cr'borne) retired this year. The latter is now chairman of the: reeen I Jy_)'«>r met J K.ust Coast-Poverty Bay District Council and was ineligible for ve. election. Those nominated for the vacant seats v/ere !Nies;rs R. W. Strugncl! (Omokoroa), J. Jamieson and R. \Y. Dunning (Rangit liki). and Parsons (Rotorua). A b dlot wa< taken, club delesiat.es nnd council foundat on members only voting. Messrs Strugnell, Dunning and Par. sons we'e elected. Roterun—whee ten clubs are in operation —has thiK representation on the council right from the inception of the movement. Mr Parson? is an entliusiastie supporter of the pig club movement and a member of several clubs there. Mr Dunning is a member of the Omvhu Club, Edgeeumbe, and was the unanimous selection of club delegates in the Rangitaiki area,. Mr Strug. ncll is one of the original members of the District Council and is a mem ber of the Omokoroa and one or two other clubs in the Tauranga district. Mr D. S. Ross was re-elected presj. dent. Mr H. M. Pearson, Advisory Officer in Swine Husbandry also took part in the discussions arising, congratulating and commending those present for their cont'nued in. tere.st in the Bav Club movement. FISHING BOAT OX SLIP Wright's fishing launch the '"'Out. law 7 ' is now on the slip for the annual painting and overhaul Avhich the crew is at present carrying out. Recently she has bad two hauls each of 30 baskets of fish, and another of 14.
