Sift 3 cupsful flour, 3 ; ful baking powder and a saltspoonful salt Into a mixing bowl.. Rub a tablespoonful of shortening, 1 table- : spoonful sugar and half cupful cur* ' and, when well mixed, make into a soft dough with milk and 1 ' welLbeaten egg. Turn out on to a - floured board divide into two pieces • and lightly press into two rounds; f then, with a sharp knife, divide it - into triangularvshaped pieces bv I dividing the round equally; bake in a quick oven for 15 minutes. As soon 1 as they are done, split, toast and 1 spread with melted cheese.
