TAURANGA DISTRICT HIGHWAY.
A meeting of the Trustees of the above Highway District was held on Saturday afternoon at Mr Parsons' residence. Present : Messrs J. A. Chadwick (chairman), Vercoe and S. Earl. There was very little business discussed by the Board. A letter from Mr Carthy, asking for compensation for cutting through soft rock on the Judea Road, was referred to the Engineer, The Secretary was instructed to write to the Government relative to the grant to be made to the Board for the present year, and to ask for payment of the same. A few accounts were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned until the next monthly meeting.
