Akti-Provincialist.— -The question you refer to being no longer before tho public, nothing would be gained by inserting your letter, which otherwise we should have been most happy to publish. Letters to the Editor intended for publication in tins journal should be received at the publishing office not later than G p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays, otherwise they cannot appear in the following issue. No notice can be taken of anonymous communications, Whatever is intended for insertion in this journal must be authenticated by tho name an 1 address of the writer, not necessarily for publication, bub as a guarantee of good faith. Letters and other communications intended for insertion in the news columns should bo addressed to the Editor. Rejected communications cannot be returned under any circumstances whatever. We have to request that all letters containing Remittances, business communications respecting advertisements, printing, or orders for papers for the future be addressed to tub Manager, office of this paper.
