We regret to learn that Mr Peter Grant fell off his horse and broke his leg again yesterday. The tender of Mr John Stewart for repairing the Tauranga wharf was accepted by the Town Board at the usual fortnightly meeting held on Thursday last. A report of the full proceedings of that meeting is in type, and shall appear Tu next issue. The Librarian of the Mechanics’ Institute begs to acknowledge with thanks a donation of £5 to the funds of the Institute by a friend. Captain Tunks is gazetted an auditor of the Tauranga Highway District, vice Mr Harry Gardiner, resigned ; and Messrs Holier and Downey auditors of the Town Board. Tauraaga, for the present year.
