COUNTRY BOARD.
This Board held a meeting on Tuesday afternoon last. Present: all the members. The minutes of the last meeting were confirmed. TATJBANQA AND CAMBRIDGE ROAD. Correspondence and telegrams re. Cambridge and Thames and Tauranga roads read and approved. ASSESSMENT ROLE. The Assessment Roll of Rateable Property as compiled by the Secretary was laid before the Board, and the same was directed to bo handed over to the Valuators. NATIVES BATES. The Secretary was directed to write to the Officer in Charge of the Native Department, Tauranga, for a list of Natives holding land under Crown Grant in the district. PROVINCIAL ACTS IN OPERATION. The Secretary was instructed to request the Superintendent to bring the “ Weeds ami Watercourses Act, 18G6,” “Thistle Act, 1858,“ “ Registration of Brands Act, 1871, Amendment Act, 1871,” and Slaughter House Act, 18GG’ 1 into operation within the Board’s District. The meeting then adjourned until Tuesday, September Ist, at 2 p,m.
