MR GRACE’S ASSERTION.

TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—ln a feeble attempt at letter writing made by Air Grace on the 1-1 bh August, and published in your lust, he stales that “ perhaps the only closed road in the district that is really 7 wanted is one enclosed by the chairman of the present Board for his own convenience.” I beg to state publicly that Mr Grace’s assertion is utterly false ; I have not closed one single road or portion of road. I would not condescend to notice the falsehood were it not that its circulation might bo prejudicial to the personnel of the Board, of which I have the honor to be Chairman.—l am, &c. , E. M. Edgcujibe. The Knoll, August 17, 1874.
