DEATH OF CAPTAIN HANSEN.
We are indebted to Mr Warbrick for a telegram from Auckland on Thursday last announcing the death of Frederick Hansen bv drowning at Mercury Bay. Mr Hansen has been connected for several years with vessels trading on this coast. Ho was well and favorably known throughout the Bay of Plenty district as a kind-hearted, obliging, steady man a good and brave sailor.
