Special divine service was held at the Mission Chapel on Thursday morning, it being Ascension Day. By a private telegram we learn that the Colonial Government p a Luna is undergoing repairs in Wellington, which will take about a fortnight to complete. The Kennedy Family, delineators of Scottish life and character, intend to give performances at Tauranga shortly. The Auckland press speaks in high terms of their entertainments. W 0 have to acknowledge the receipt from the Government Printer of volume 3 Appendix to the Journals of the House of .Representatives. The Vivian Troupe gave a special pcrforraaco on Wednesday evening last, under the patronage of Captain .Norris, officers and men of the Cavalry and Infantry Volunteer Corps, and Captain Cbadwich, J.P. There was a fair bouse, and the entertainment passed off successfully. Performances will be given this and Monday evenings. We hope to see bumper houses. The prices have been reduced to 2s and la.
