W© direct attention to Mr Bodoll’s auction sal© on Tuesday next of two valuable horses—- “ McKenna ” and “ Black Bess ” —the property of th© Telegraph Department. Mr Bodell reports as follows for the month of April:—“ I have sold several lots of cattle during the month. Milch cows, £6 to £9 10s ; steers and heifers, two to three years old, realised £3 10b to £6 ; yearlings, £2 to £8 ; calves, 25s to 40s. Horses : Several good hacks fetched fair prices. I held several good sales of household furniture during the month of April. The attendance was large and prices very satisfactory. I sold about 10 tons of Potatoes at £4 to £5. Rye grass seed, good sample, 7s to 7s 6d per bushel. There have been numerous inquiries for town lots, and many have changed owners to the tune of 100 per cent, to what they fetched 12 months since.
