Sib, —The late Licensing' Court for live publiehouscß of this district suggested to my mind the following queries:— 1. la Captain Tovey, J.P.-~ a Good Templarallowed by the rules of his Order to permit, eneonrage, or countenance in any way the sale of alcoholic drinks, or is he not strictly prohibited from so doing ? 2. Can a Good Templar honestly "or conscientiously adjudicate on ihe of licenses which he is solemnly p'e Iged to suppress ? Perhaps Captain Tovey may be able and willing to answer tlio foregoing questions.—l am, &c, CIXIZEH,
