EXTBAOEDLN AEY MEETING YESTEEDAY. A special meeting of the Town Board was held at tno office of the secretary (Mr Heushaw) yesterday morning. Present-All the members. ACCOUNT CURRENT. The Treasurer read over receipts and expend!ture, and announced the balance in hand to date as €23 lls lod. NEW' .AUDITOR, Mr Bod oil was elected auditor, vice Mr Maxwell, resigned. RATES COIXTJCTARUE. Tho Chairman stated the amount of rates—gojid debts to bo collected for current vear as £7 G. TUNES AT DISPOSAL. The amount of available funds at tho disposal of the Board, until the expiration of office of the present members, was estimated at £ll2. i THE WILLOW-STREET NUISANCE. iong discussion ensued upon this matter. Tho Chairman stated that Air Burrows had expressed his opinion that the nuisance in Willow*• street could be removed by deepening flic drains, and terming a new main drain under the wharf to ucariy low water mark. This would cost approximately about £4O. uiotion of Mr NToi-ris, seconded bv Air .Samuels, the secretary was instructed to write to Mr Burrows requesting that gentleman to draw out plans and speifications of the work immediately, and upon receipt of tho same that fenders he called for, and the drainage in question proceeded with. A conversational discussion (hen ensued upon the drainage and formation of Spring-»( root, ; and it was ultimately decided that the Board would consider the matter upon completion of tho drainage of Willow-street.
