Tho Native Laud Act. 1873,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for tbo Governor in Council from Sirno to time to divide the Colony into Districts for the purposes set forth in the said Act, and the limits of each districts from time to time to alter as occasion may require ; Now, therefore, X, Sib James Eeeqtssoit, Baronet, the Governor of tbo Colony of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of tho Executive Council of tho said Colony, and in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by tho said in part recited Act, do neroby order and declare that tho colony shall be divided into districts for the pui’poses of the said Act, as such are respectively defined in the Schedule hereunder written. Tim district is bounded towards tho North and West by tho Frith of the Thames and tho Hauraki Gulf from Pukorokhro to Cape Colville - thenco towards the North-east and East by the sea to Ngakuri-a-wharo ; thenco towards the South-east by a right line to the summit of Ta Aroha Mountain ; thence again towards the East by tho summit of tho watershed of Taurunga Harbour to a point near Wairero ; thence again towards the South-east by a right line through v a mere to Opuahau ; and thence again towards tne West by tho Waikato district to Pukorokoro, the commencing point ; together with tho Great Barrier and its adjacent islands, Mercury, Aiderman, and other adjacent islands, but excepting Mayor Island. 1 h Bax oe Pxskxt. This district is bounded towards the North-ea«t by the summit of the watershed of Taurarma Harbour from Wairere toOtano Wainuku 5 thence towards the North-west by a right lino to Otara, and thence by a right lino to V 9 airakei ; thence towards the North-east by the Bay of Plenty to Matata ; thence towards tho East by the Te Awa-o-te-Atua, Eangitaiki, and Whirinald Rivers to the most southerly source of the latter, thence bv a right line to the summit of Tiwatawata Moun£P d . thence by a right line to the point where the Waipunga River intersects the southern boundary of tho Province of Auckland ; thenco on tne South by that boundary to the Wanganui River; thence again towards the North-west by a right line to the summit of Titiraupcmm Mountain, thence by a right lino to To Niho o to Rioro on the Waikato River ; thence towards the bouth-west by the Waikato River to the southeast boundary of the Waikato District; and thenco again towards the North-west by the V\ aikato and Thames Districts to tho commencing point near Wairere ; inclusive of Plato Island.
