Passengers—Mrs McDonald, Messrs Harrop, Kirton, Douglas, Cook, Snodgrass, Mohi, and others 11 —Clara, cutter, Stevens, for Whangapoa, in ballast The Southern Cross arrived at Auckland at 4 p.m. on Thursday. She leaves again for this port this afternoon. The cutter Vincent will leave Auckland for Tauranga this evening. By telegram we learn that the Pretty Jane arrived at Hapier at 6.30 a.m. on Thursday last. She may be expected here about Thursday next, and will steam for Auckland 24 hours after arrival. Wo perceive that the fine fast cutter Katie is for sale. She is well and favourably known, and will doubtless soon find a buyer. The purchaser will secure a really well-built and, in every sense of the word, good boat.
