DOGS IN CHURCH.
TO THE EDITOIi. | Sir, Any unseemly noise ia disagreeable to a congregation assemble 1 for divine worship, and to the minister it must bo doubly so. Liaet Sunday evening the barking and growling of dogs underneath and around the school house was almost beyond endurance, and I fa it sorry fir our respected clergyman, who was obliged to raise his voice to make himself heard. X hope tor the future that people will, before starting to church, tie up Whisky, Ponto, Juno, Major, Floss, Taffy, Snyder, Caesar, \\ ateh. Dandy, Hobby, Danger, Flora, Bully, George, and the rest, of their canine friends. I sec, Mr D liter, that you have centred your affections upon a yellow' mongrel, and I trust next Sunday' that you will lacerate your feelings for the church-going public by I tying it up, when the vixenish cur will probably' turn the torrent of it a howling propensities upon your neighbours (like Mr Ball's animal), the nearest ol whom will doubtless be driven to desperation, oven to sacrificing it. It is not worth a prunj/, and, moreover, docs not bear the badge of registration. Therefore, I trust I shall sec you figuring in the .Resident Magistrate’s Court, and anticipate the pleasure of hearing of your being fined iu the full penalty.— I am, &c., WjUTxr.iNaa mow the West.
