TOWN BOARD.
Tiiu usual fortnightly meeting of the Town Board took place on Monday morning, at the oillces of Moksis VV .I. Booth and Go. The minutes of tho last meeting were read and confirmed, and Urn outward correspondence passed in due course, •Art’KAl, AGAINST ASSESSMENT. Tho following letter was read from Mr John Chad wick : “To tho Chairman Tanning* North Township Highway Board. “'dug—T hereby give you notice that I intend to appeal against certain rates levied by your Bo.*rd. I have been up to tho Court house, and, as I cannot imd any roll, I cannot give you tho particulars.— I am, &c, _ “ John Chadwick.” llio Hoerotary was instructed to reply, stating nil information could bo obtained at the Score” tary’s ollicu. THE mw not!.. The Secretary stated that tbo now boll had been taken away from tho Court house. After some discussion it was decided that in future the copy of tho assessment roll should (if P* runVion was granted) bo loft, for public inspection at, the otlmi of Mr JHpkins Ckrko. On the motion of Mr VWTiglcy, seconded by Mr Conway, it was agreed that the time be extended for ono week when appeals should bo duly heard, rimlic wouKti.
