NOTICES TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Mb O. O. Datis. —We hasten to publish tele* gram received from you yesterday :—“ Maketu, 9.40, August 26th, —To Times.—Solicit continuance of ray autobiography, interlarded with Maori, King, and other Maori lore. In which case I may become subscriber, instead of asking the law to hug you in its arms.—o. O. Datis.” We will endeavour to comply with your request. A fragment appears to-day ; full chapter shortly. STame entered in subscription book ; much obliged. So kind of you also to dispel our alarm about the legal “ hug.” If we only knew how to “ rub noses,” should be tempted, T in our joy, to perform on you. Good-bye. No notice can be taken of anonymous communications. Whatever is intended for insertion in this journal must be authenticated by the name and address of the writer, not necessarily for publication, but as a guarantee of good faith.
