MR F. GEORGE.

TO THE EIHTOB.

Sib, — I think in your notice of the approaching departure of Mr F. George you might hare embodied a suggestion as to some mode of marking the event. 1 venture to offer one. We do not lose an old settler and an old politician every day, and we don’t have a public dinner every day. Now, the loss of an old settler is a bad thing, and a public dinner a good one. I presume Mr George’s friends are sufficiently numerous to muster on such an occasion in tolerable force, and tell him “ he’s a jolly good fellow," &c,, &c. I offer the bint for what it is worth.—l am’ &c'„ Nomad.
