SlB, —The agricultural and literary inhabitants of Tauranga may, perhaps, be interested to know that it has been ruled that in future the verb, to thresh, shall not mean simp'y “ to beat corn, to free it from chaff or straw but it shall mean in addition, “ to winnow and nag grain and to stack straw.” The comprehensive ness of the new rule, and consequently the simp)'ll cat ion in future of the production of wheat, must, to the farmers of this district, be a sulj-cf of congratulation. Having bought the information for the moderate price of some £l9, I feel called upon to impart it to whom it may enlighten g<atis —I am, &c., 0. Moobsom.
