Mail Coach from Tauranga to Napier. To the Settlers of Tauranga and District. GENTLEMEN.— as I do. in the vast \a benefit the Bay of Plenty would derive by dir f c A. coach communication between Tauranga and Napier, I take the earliest opportunity, as one who has a stake in the place and the interest of the district at heart, to call upon my fellow settlers to attend A PUBLIC MEETING to be held at the MASONIC HOTEL, To-Morrow (Thursday) Evening, •AT 8 P.M. SHABP, in order to consider what steps should be taken during the Parliamentary recess to prevail upon the Government to grant a subsidy for carrying through mails. Unless the authorities are prepared to do this, the Taupo Hoad will be comparatively of little service, as it is scarcely probable that any Coach Proprietor will camtneucs business without having a fair sum guaranteed by the Government. There is no time to be lost. Mr Quick will be on the spot, who, no doubt, will attend the meeting and explain matters. I am. Gentleman, Yours respectfully, e. McDonald,
