TO TUB EDITOR. Sib, — Some time ago a somewhat sultry letter ®FP®iß?od IB your columns calling upon our representative in the Provincial Council to explain why bo would not proceed last session with his tabled motion—“ That a respectful address be presented to bis Honor the Superintendent requesting him to recommend that tho sum of £U ) be placed at the d.spoeal of each of the Tauranga Highway Boards, and a similar sum (£100) bo handed to the Opotiki Highway Board—said sums to ba taken from tho vote of £3,000 for roads and works south of Auckland,” I perceive also that your Opotiki correspondent, in his letter dated March 10, says :—“I can tell you some of the folks down hero would give something catch a glimpse of our Provincial Council member,” 1 consider Mr Douglas has treated his constituents cavalierly and insolently, and I once more publicly call upon him to explain matters. In the event of his still remaining silent, I trust a public meeting will be hold in Tauranga requesting Mr Douglas to tender his resignation.— X am, &o«, A RATJSPAViiB.
