This may explain why tho Archdeacon has not thrust himself forward as a parochial clergy own is supposed to do; at tho fame time tho Archdeacon ha* never failed, when asked, to perform the unices of tho Church, • whether baptism, marriage, visitation of tho sick and dying, or burial of tho cloud. I'lie gifted, tender, and sympathetic manner in which ho has uttered words of consolation iu the sick chamber and in times of trouble will not be forgotten by many among us, and though ho has now given up those duties, I am but expressing the wish of others in eoying, we trust wo may on special occasions hear the voice of one who haß not " shunned to decluro uuto us tho whole oracles of God."— I am, &,':., OJTK OF CoZiMITHMB.
