COMMERCIAL.

Bay of Plenty Times Office, Tuesday Evening. We have no commercial news of any kind what* ever. General business baa an upward tendency, but still trade is very dull. The wheat crops are nearly all in, and altogether we may congratulate ourselves upon having had a favourable season so far. Pome Nelson farmers are introducing, with excellent effect, a system of irrigation ; and have produced splendid fields of potatoes by this means, where, in consequence of the long drought, the return ’ would otherwise have been very poor. This bint may be useful to some of our settlers.
