Tins work, though no cssary, was so in a minor degree to many porfio-a of the said road, I afk the ratepayers whether they are satisfied with the way in which ma’ters are carried on? The very first piece of road improvement mado by the Board (that between Captain Turner’s house and Mr Darby’s corner) was initiated ard almost forced by tho ri presentation of Mr Edgcumbe through your columns. The iniprovement T allude to, though m itself rieccs s acv tit sc mo future time, is, in the opinion of the majoTity of ratepayers, second in importance to that of many portions of tho Cameron Hord, between Mr Piercy’a and the turning oil' to the Judea Ro-, d.
