TOWN BOARD.
A MEKTirra of the Board was held in Captain Norris s store yesterday morning. Present— Chaplain Tanks (chairman). Captains Tovey and Norris, and Messrs Samuels and Wrigler. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. A letter from Mr Bonnet, relative to wharf proposed to bo erected by him, was then read, and discussion ensued thereon. letter from Engineer, suggesting the placing oi. posts at the angles of the different street 9. so as to protect the drain pipes, was road, and instructions given to Mr Burrows to carry out his plans. Mr Ben net, according to request, attended with plan of the proposed wharf, and explained his views connected therewith. The Board fullv discussed the san.u, and decided that Mr Benneb bo requested to put the terms upon which he intends to build hia wharf in writing, explaining fully the whole conditions upon which the same would be handed to Board, upon receipt of which the Board will giro him aa answer. The Board decided to take over tho publics wharf, in accordance with terms of Provincial . Secretary’s letter, of tho 9th January iust, and£ the Secretary was directed to reply to that effect. The meeting then adjourned.
