After a careful survey, the amount required so far exceeded the funds in hand that the Board had no alternative but to poa: none tho matter. This road, -however, will have the first attention of the Board as soon as funds permit. I regret much that the memorialists did not ■receive a written rejrly from mo ; but the above was verbally told to almost tho whole of them shortly after receiving the engineer’d estimate.
