NOTICES TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Okcb _ more wo beg of correspondents, when writing to us, to communicate in confidence their names, not for publication, but as a guarantee of good faith. We do not know why we should keep a waste paper basket for what no doubt gives the writers a great deal of trouble. Since our- last we have had several communications sent for publication, but by whom wo know not. These letters are generally slipped under the door, in a mysterious manner, during the night. We can only afford such correspondents the satisfaction of knowing that not one of these letters do we take the trouble to read. The real name of the writer is the first thing we look for: that not given, we have only one course—the waste basket. After this caution, we shall not consider those who refuse to comply with our rule entitled even to an acknowledgment that their letters have been received. Wiles Eiovveb. —You are quite right. It has been truly said that “ Pity i s akin to love.” J. here is nothing more touching to a noble* hearted woman than to see a young and noble struggling to keep a feeble moustache
