“ Honor among thieve?,” is -what the old regime called for, now something more is demanded, and it is with feelings of pride that we record the f iot of t here being a vast improvement in the conduct of this useful class of our fellow citizens. A, thief (vulgarly known as sneak-thieO recently stole a suit of clothes from a man residing on Lexington avenue, and, proving considerably too small for him, he returned them to the owner by express, together with a note, couched in the politest terms, setting forth the fact. He closed by assuring the man that, as ho was young and full of hope, he could afford to wait until he, the victim, grew larger, when he could wait on him again in the hope of getting a belter fit.
