MR. CURTIN'S VISIT

Special Australian Correspondent SYDNEY, Aug. 27. The feeling is growing in Australia that the Prime Minister, Mr. J. Curtin, should accept President Roosevelt's invitation to visit Washington. The Sydney Sun says: "Such a visit to the leader . f the great Republic which Provide; e has made our ally would obviously ~>e of inestimable value to the Com! 'mwealth.

"No other Australian," the newspaper continues, "could "•ossibly carry the authority of thi. Prime Minister in discussions of c. ordinated effort and strategy in the Pacific. Other Dominion leaders will confer with Mr. Roosevelt. Already the Prime Minister of New Zealand is in Washington. Australia should be represented by her Prime Minister." Mr. Curtin declines to comment on the invitation.
