Mr. R. C. Porter, president of the Auckland Iron Masters' Association, leaves for Wellington by the Limited this evening. Mr. D. Holderness, superintendent and engineer of the Auckland Harbour Board, returned from Wellington by the Limited this morning. ~
Lieutenant-General E. Puttlck, General Officer Commanding, Dominion Military Forces, returned to Wellington last night after inspecting some of the defence installations around Auckland.
Mr. A. R. Donaldson, secretary of the Wanganui Provincial Executive of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, has been appointed secretary-orga-niser of the Wanganui Primary Production Council. He succeeds Mr. A. R. Dingwall, of the Department of Agriculture, who has been transferred to Ohakune.
