TRACTOR SALE DISPUTE
A claim for the return of £205 paid on a tractor that had been seized Purchase agreement, and tor £300 damages, was made in the Supreme Court to-day before Mr Justice Callan and a jury by Mrs Avis Edwards, dairy farmer, Henderson (Mr. Holmden), against the Harvester Company of New Zealand Limited (Mr. Finlay and Mr. Goodall), alleging that she had been induced to buy the tractor by a false representation that it was efficient and suitable. ♦w Vide * nce 4. was g ive n by plaintiff that a tractor sold to her for £475 °P, hire purchase agreement as suit- ?« f*. ■tYr°^ k , a bush section she had "1 the Waitakere ranges would not do the work. After there had been an accident with the machine, the company seized it and claimed that her equity then, for the £205 she had paid on it, was only worth £68. (Proceeding.)
