AIRCRAFT COLLISION
TWO PILOTS KILLED (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Saturday. Two members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force lost their lives in an aircraft collision this morning. The personnel concerned were:— Leading Aircraftman James Hylton Mead—Mr. W. J. Mead, Wellington (father). Leading Aircraftman Frank Hayman Goldsmith—Mrs. A. McCormick, Westport (mother).
The airmen were pupil pilots undergoing training and they collided during solo flights.
