SWEDISH CASTLE RAIDED

RUSSIAN PLANES RESPONSIBLE

Rec. noon. LONDON, July 24. It was officially announced in Stockholm that three planes last night dropped flares and two 4001b bombs 500 yards from Borgholm Castle on Oland Island in the Baltic Sea. It was later established that Russian planes were responsible. It was officially reported that flares and incendiaries were dropped at Monsteras on the mainland. A Vichy message states that no damage or casualties were caused.
