CASE TO BE STATED

(PA.) DUNEDIN, Friday. In the Supreme Court this morning Mr. Justice Kennedy announced that he would state a case for the opinion of the Appeal Court on the questions of law involved in the conviction of Henri Arthur Hirt for unlawfully using an instrument with intent to procure a certain result. The main question involved was a challenge to the admissibility of the deposition taken at the hospital of the woman concerned, who subsequently died. Sentence was deferred pending determination of the question raised, the prisoner being admitted to bail in two sureties of £1000.
