STAY OF PROCEEDINGS
ORDER IN OIL FUEL CASES (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Friday. Following the acquittal of Francis Bedford, charged with supplying petrol to Young and Bell, Ltd., the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers, has granted a stay of proceedings against Charles Norman Young and Young and Bell, Ltd., on charges of breaches of the Oil Fuel Emergency Regulations. Stay of proceedings has also been granted in the case against Thomas Irvine Bell, similarly charged, it being stated for the Crown that the charges appeared to be an echo of those for which he had already been punished in the Magistrate's Court.
