NEW BRITISH CALL-UP

MEN 18-46, WOMEN 20-31 British Official Wireless. Rec. 1 p.m. RUGBY, July 23. The King to-day signed a further proclamation effecting the operation of National Service Acts to men who have reached the age of 18 and not 46 and women who have reached 20 and not 31. The effect is to make those who have reached this age group since March 5 liable for service. Men born in the first week of 1924 will be required to register by August 15, and will probably be liable for calling up from October onwards. The call up will shortly be extended to women who reached 20 by June 30.
