SubLieutenant Tripp was educated at Takapuna Grammar School, and prior to leaving for England in December, 1940, he wa« on the •taff of the Auckland branch of the National Bank of New Zealand. He wai a keen member of the St. John Ambulance Brigade and holds the Grand Priory Badge.
